Fresno Police Officer Greg Jouroyan passed away on Sunday night, Oct. 14, following a long battle with cancer.

Jouroyan began his career as a Police Cadet in 2000 before becoming a reserve officer in 2001. He was sworn-in as an officer with the Fresno Police Department on July 29, 2002.

Jerry Dyer issued the following statement:

“Greg Jouroyan was one of the hardest-working police officers in the Fresno Police Department.  He was diligent in his search for wanted felons and was very responsive to the needs of residence.

Greg maintained his sense of humor and remained positive and upbeat in spite of his severe health issues.

I had a deep admiration for Greg’s work ethic, his steadfast spirit, and love for the job.  He will be sorely missed.”
